    We tried a bunch of free Windows apps from the Microsoft Store — here are our favorites


    The Microsoft Store has been around for nearly 10 years now — it launched as the Windows Store with Windows 8 — but compared to app marketplaces on other platforms, it can feel like a barren wasteland.
